PP Macro Fiber Description:

1.Polypropylene macrofiber is a fiber with diameter and length exceeding 0.1 and 40 mm, respectively, and it is developed from polypropylene and polyethylene, which are the main raw materials. When the pp macro fibers in concrete reach a certain level, they behave in a manner similar to steel fibers. Thus, the fibers are also referred to as “imitation steel fibers” .PP macro fibers have many advantages such as high tensile strength, corrosion resistance, good chemical stability, strong bonding strength with concrete, and easy construction.

2.PP macro fiber is a synthetic macro fiber manufactured of 100% polypropylene fibers containing no reprocessed olefin materials and with excellent alkali resistant, impermeable and non-corrosive properties.PP Macro Fiber is a kind of polymer material with light weight, high strength and corrosion resistance.

3.The unique composition of PP Macro Fiber makes it an excellent alternative to the traditional reinforcement steel mesh in order to significantly reduce the plastic shrinkage cracking and enhance the durability and the mechanical properties of the cementitious mixes.

4. For residential concrete projects like patios, pp macro fiber is the perfect way to increase concrete strength and durability. These types of fibers are synthetic and offer secondary reinforcement to improve strength and uniformly distribute the concrete.

5.PP Fibers do the exact same thing as rebar,but the steel bar is not as good at stopping cracks as the fiber.

6.These pp macro fibers are wrapped in bundles of water-soluble film and packed in cartons. When used, just put the whole boxes of the pp macro fibers into concrete. The cartons and film are dissolved in water and the pp macro fibers are evenly dispersed in the concrete mixture.

PP Macro Fiber Features:

5.The strength of pp macro fiber is not as strong as that of steel fiber, but the experiment shows that under the same conditions, each cubic meter concrete needs 3kg-6kg of synthetic macro fiber, while steel fiber needs 25kg-40kg. The results show that the concrete with macro synthetic fiber has better toughness and anti-microcrack effect.

6.For pp macro fiber, it is cost effective, replaces secondary reinforcements steel mesh.
